Weekly Bits o’ Green

by Dave Conrey

Because I have a habit of sharing small tidbits of info randomly, I figured I’d package them up in bulk for easier use. I present the Bits o’ Green

This is a bit anti-green, but over at Noisy Decent Graphics, Ben Terrett shares a story of Apple’s packaging excess. Considering Apples use of minimalist packaging, this story shocks me a bit.

Nic Darling of Post Green has given me a great idea for my home energy use. He’s pledging to set his computer to go on standby quicker, which is something I have a bad habit of ignoring.

Being green goes far beyond recycling and conservation. John Jantsch makes a case for using green ideology in the workplace to nuture a positive environment.

Sean Howard is a guy I met through blogs and online chat. He’s a brilliant marketer with a green bent. His consultancy specializes “enabling human potential and creating a sustainable planet”. Can’t get cooler than that.

Speaking of Mr. Howard, he produced a video that is one of the pinnacle moments of my green education. The video talks about Alex Winch and how he changed the way Canadians do laundry.
